Annual Community Events
In collaboration with community partners, Capital Region Community Resource, Inc. hosts three annual events and initiatives in order to serve more families and help connect Capital Region community members with other resources that may be available to them.
Prom Giveaway
During prom season, Capital Region Community Resource, Inc. provides a prom giveaway to 1-3 high school in need. Services provided in the giveaway include a dress or tuxedo, hair, makeup, nails, transportation, and photography.
Kikz and Kutz
During the back to school season, Capital Region Community Resource, Inc. hosts a back to school fair for students K-12 living in the Capital Region. Students will receive a brand new pair of sneakers and a free haircut, and families will receive resources from other community partners in the area.
Community Baby Shower
In collaboration with major health and family organizations, Capital Region Community Resource, Inc. hosts an annual Capital Region Community Baby Shower, providing demonstrations, baby supply giveaways, informational resources, and more to new and expectant caregivers in the community. Free and open to all!
